I picked this up at the Domo Nation website. I donapos;t know what it does, but maybe itapos;s cute and funny.

I went to Target as promised and bought all four Domo Kun plushies, pumpkin domo, dracula domo, frankenstein domo, and devil domo. If they were any cuter, I would explode with happiness.

Japanese class was fun today. Shingo asked a student to say "I eat breakfast at school." The student he asked wound up saying "asagohan de gakkou wo tabemasu." Shingo and I both started laughing, but we were the only ones because no one in class realized that what he literally was, "at the breakfast I ate the school." LOL, he swapped his particles around, should have been "asagohan WO gakkou DE tabemasu." Itapos;s important to get those particles correct

My life is currently in a constant state of change Definitely had to do some rethinking on current short-term goals.

As I had assumed, the OSR job was truly a far cry for lowly lil me. It was finally announced that the Big Wigs selected an experienced OSR from Washington state who also was looking to move closer to family in Indiana. Apparently, this was more about the manager role than the computer know-how. Nyar. :p

Took this as a sign to stay focused on jobs that matter most in regards to all things Bioinformatic related.

Then there is news that hubby will work full time at cell phone/pager store full time as top manager while owner moves away to Michigan in search of better treatment for his sick daughter. Bad circumstance, but good opportunity.

This also sends me in a scurry to find good daycare for two kids that we can afford, all the while still fitting into our wacky schedules. Also get more help from the parents too, which helps.

Church has pretty much consumed our free time during weekends, esp now with the fall activities going on. Good for spiritual growth.. Bad for free time and trying to get other things done. Ah well.

Getting a few days off at the end of October, first of November to attempt to paint kitchen and one bathroom. Iapos;ll be lucky if I just get the kitchen done. Overjoyed to get both and do some stenciling in the kids rooms.

Still desperately wishing I was paid more so I could afford to get some nice furniture. Or at least something to put clothes in, and bookshelves and/or end tables to put stuff on. The kitchen table and fireplace mantle can only hold so much. The floor, or nothing lifestyle gets tiring, especially with two nosey rugrats. Bah.

At least the only debt we have is the house mortgage, which we wisely bought with a fixed rate and a heavy down-payment. Aye, that and the fact my man can make a penny squeak, he pinches them so hard. *nods* Canapos;t complain about that now in these times though. ^^

I posted a couple days ago about my roommate wanting to declaw Ziggy without my permission and I just wanted to update you all on what is going on. And thank everyone who offered any advice or support...even if it didnapos;t affect the outcome it did make me feel a little better.

Apparently Ziggy is going to be declawed sometime next week while Iapos;m either at class or at the domestic violence shelter where I volunteer. My roommate refuses to discuss the issue any further because Iapos;m too biased and completely ignorant about cat health. She refuses to wait to have the declawing or even do any more research on the topic. And she also doesnapos;t want me to go with because she thinks I might do something at the clinic to prevent Ziggy from being declawed...which I would.

Iapos;m feeling really frustrated and miserable right now. I canapos;t believe she is just going to disregard my feelings like this and treat Ziggy like she is just some object to be modified to her liking. Iapos;m thinking of calling every vet in the phone book and telling them not provide any services for my roommate but Iapos;m guessing thatapos;d be pretty futile...

Right now Iapos;d almost be happy if she could at least respect me enough to let me go with to clinic, Ziggy has never been to the vet before and is going to be terrified. And surgery also has its risks, I want to be there if something goes wrong. Ziggy has been wonderful and makes me very happy, I just want to make sure that she is happy and healthy as well.
